Generality
FinLABO Sim S.p.A. (“FinLABO") takes a careful look to the privacy of its customers and, in general, of persons who come into contact with its structure. It’s our intention to provide some guidance to this regard.

The Italian law on privacy

The Legislative Decree of June 30, 2003, No. 196, preserves the treatment of Personal Data (individuals and legal persons).
Under Article. 4 of that decree, "to treat" means to manage data operations, with or without the aid of electronic or automated instruments, concerning the collection, recording, organization, storage, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, dissemination, erasure and destruction of data.
The term "Personal Data" refers to any information concerning natural person, legal person, entity or association, identified or identifiable, even indirectly, by reference to any other information, including a Personal Identification Number. Personal Data must be processed lawfully, fairly and must be kept for longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. 

The key players can be indentified according to the provision of the Legislative Decree no. 196/03, as follow:

• "Visitor" is the person or entity to whom the personal data refers. The Law considers the visitor as the protected person and gives him a number of rights (eg the right to obtain information about the data and the treatments, the right to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form. The Visitor can also block the use of Personal Data in violation of that law, including those that no longer need to be kept for the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed ...);
• "Data Processor" is the natural person or legal entity responsible for processing the data subject. The holder is entitled to make decisions about the scope and methods of treatment;
• "Data Manager" is the person or entity designated by the data processor, which oversees the management of certain phases of treatment, under the supervision and responsibility of the Data processor;
• "Commissioner" means one who actually processes data without decision-making autonomy;
• "Guarantor" is an impartial collective body in charge for monitoring the correct application of legislation, before which it is possible to defend its own rights as an alternative to the court.

FinLABO policy to respect the privacy

First, we want to tell you that site navigation is anonymous. Data collection occurs exclusively through the completion of the registration form for access to restricted areas protected by a password.
The collection and processing of personal data when filling out the registration request for access to restricted areas protected by passwords is directed to purposes connected to the management of the service provided, for purposes connected with the obligations of law and regulations and to instructions of the authorities and supervisory bodies and for purposes not closely related to the services offered, but how to improve them (eg. other business activities, promotions and marketing, market research). The acceptance to data treatment for marketing and sales promotion purposes is required separately and expressly stated as optional.
In any case, it is always possible to avoid such forms of data treatment by writing to the Data Processor.
